Super Unnerving Bros.
Somewhere around the release of Super Mario Sunshine, the Internet was for some reason abuzz with rumors that Nintendo planned to take the Mario franchise in a new, darker, more realistic "mature" direction. I think we can all be glad that those rumors weren't true, and we can all be made gladder by looking at this page.

I dunno, I kind of dug the bearded wiseman in the mushroom hat. But then again, it's three in the morning and I've had a lot of cough syrup lately.

I thought Super Mario Sunshine was very dark. Like... there was the bad dude that wasn't as bright as he coulda been.. and there was the whole not as much sunshine as they wanted to have. Oh, and Mario's moustache is about 10% darker due to the SUPER ADVANCED BLACK GENERATOR POWER of the GameCube. Not many people know about that. I think I should stop typing now ... my comment is longer than the original post.
