LocoRoco Funsplosion!
I can't think of a game that I'm more excited about than LocoRoco for the PSP. (Maybe Mother 3, but that hasn't been confirmed for the US yet.) I've got the demo on my memory stick and I can't remember the last game that made me smile immediately when it began, and actually kept me literally smiling as I played it. I believe I may have actually laughed with glee. Basically, you play as a... planet, tilting yourself and causing earthquakes to spur on a rolling, singing blob, helping the blob to eat fruit and grow. You can split your big fat blob up into little blobs, and when you have a lot of them, they harmonize with the music and sing different parts. It's simple, it's 2D, it's happy, and it's pretty much the exact opposite of all the new games that are coming out that I can't make myself care about. (Here's an enlightening interview with the game's creator. More games should start life as subway doodles.)
I played the LocoRoco demo so many times, I got the song stuck in my head; MP3 searches turned up nothing, so I went ahead and made my own. Then I transcribed the "lyrics," so I could sing along. Then I put it all up here on my website. The music loses something without the visuals-- they SING! THE CUTE LITTLE BLOBS SING!-- but it is guaranteed to make you happy anyway.

I love your "lyrics"
You're too cute to function.
I'm commenting from your very computer and you don't even know it 'cause you're busy being lazy. Yeah, you heard me. Lazy! Ha! We should sing the Loco Roco song sometime. I'll arrange it. It'll be fun! We can tumble the rumble!
thanks for putting the lyrics and mp3s up.
Your are such a star for posting the lyrics and music. I now feel like an addict who has his fix. I'm off to freebase on Loco Roco.

Do you think the music is by Laugh & Peace, the "band" that did the music for Vib Ribbon?
