But it has "Cloud Master!"

Sometimes a picture is so insanely great that I find myself entirely without the proper words to convey its greatness.

VideoCrafts VI

It's been a while since I've had something to add to my VideoCrafts series of links. (Actually, it's been a while since I've added anything at all, but we're ignoring that.) I'd say this fits the bill nicely!

All their videos are fantastic.

Incredible Machine Hoedown

I've seen videos of such glorious Rube Goldberg-esque machines before, but those videos were German. This one's Japanese, so it has cute music. If you just can't get enough, here's another one that cooks ramen! (Warning: if you follow and watch all of these links, you will have seen almost one hour of video in total!)

1.21 Dorkowatts

When I was a kid, I always wanted to be as cool as Marty McFly. (More accurately, I wanted to grow up to be as cool as Doc Brown, but that's irrelevant to this post.) Now, through the magic of the Internet, I can see exactly how it would look if I had played Marty.

"Look! SUDOKU!"

On the train back from Washington, a middle-aged woman sat down next to me and immediately pulled out a Nintendo DS and turned it sideways. I thought the train had accidentally gone too fast and blasted us into THE FUTURE, because Touhoku Daigaku Mirai Kagakugijutsu Kyoudoukenkyuu Center: Kahashima Ryuuta Kyouju no Nou o Kitaeru Otona DS Training isn't out in America yet! And hers was called Brain Age and in English! She seemed surprised that I knew what it was, let alone that it wasn't supposed to be out yet; she was traveling with somebody who worked at Nintendo in Redmond, a lucky bastard with a blue DS Lite. I don't know how Nintendo does it. They are releasing a game that (basically) involves a polygon-headed Japanese guy making you do math, and I can't wait to buy it. Anyway, here is a fun interview with some of the people involved in bringing the game to the US. It was a unique challenge, but I don't see how they can fail with their "put the word SUDOKU on the box in big letters" strategy.

Darth Vader is no match for the keisatsu.

Thank you so much for dropping by. I do so enjoy your visits. Would you be interested in the photos from my trip to Seattle? What's that? Oh nonsense, it's not late, do stay a while... I think I've got the slides right here...
